Once upon a time, a DJ chris devlin

(of Spank Rock producer fame) made a mix for We Make It Good. It was called
We Make It Good Mix Series Vol. 2


The Mix was good. So good that, even though there have been 2 subsequent Volumes in the series (by dj's Sinden and XXXChange no less), I decided to post it.

WMIG describes the mix as something "kind of like if Animal Collective were DJ's instead of a weirdo, hippy hobbit family." Yea, it's like that. Only different.

Now, to share I could link you to some zshare page, but the reality is that the mix is available for download free on its WMIG webpage along with the tracklist. And that's way better than more zshare ads of girls wearing thongs.

Take classic house, add a track like New Jack, and wrap it up with a little bow on top. Maybe put it on top of a giant stack of peavey speakers laced in lights and ornaments. DJs, make room in your setlists for these spanking new bangers from Villains, a solid crew of straight-up bad guys from L.A. Evil geniuses Mad V, Philthy B, and Koncept are bringing the vice to old and new hits alike, and doing a better job of it than most.

The best part is that they read minds too. I've been waiting for a criminal mastermind to really exploit the sinister sounds of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" for a long time now, and I'll be damned if Villains haven't stepped up to the plate and absolutely KILLED it. They've singled out a poor, lonely sample and ripped it to shreds over a monster beat. They killed Thriller, B!

Bloc Party can't hide from these guys either. This MSTRKRFTy manhandling of "Hunting for Witches" is burning up the internet right now, and getting these guys some serious attention.

There's hardly a shortage of "Around the World" remixes flying around the internet, but Villains have blown up with a cut that, in my humble opinion, beats the crap out of the rest.
